IRL Twitch streamer Cody ‘DSKoopa’ Spencer was stunned after discovering his Seattle-based video game store Pink Gorilla was broken into.
According to Cody, he got a call from police on February 16 who told him that his store had been broken into early in the morning.
“We walk in this morning and come to find out that somebody had completely bashed in our front door,” he said while showing his Twitch chat the damage.

“I tried to spruce it up a little bit with a nice Legend of Zelda poster,” he joked, still clearly upset over what had transpired.
According to DSKoopa, the thugs who broke in stole a Halo Xbox One complete in the box, an Xbox One S, and a bunch of newer handheld consoles.
“Luckily, all my old Game Boys here, which are harder to get than the 3DS’s, those are still here,” he explained.

The Pink Gorilla specializes in retro and import games, so while the thieves stole some newer items, they didn’t take any of the real expensive stuff, such as rare titles.

According to a tweet by Cody, the alleged thieves tried trading some of the stolen goods at a store down the street and now he has footage of what the suspects look like as well as their ID.
Disturbingly, Cody revealed that after Googling their names, the suspects had already served jail time for manufacturing fentanyl. Fentanyl is an incredibly dangerous drug. According to the Centers for Disease Control, in 2017, nearly 30,000 Americans died from fentanyl overdoses.
Little update on this. They tried trading the items into our friends down the street. We’ve got footage and their ID. Googling their name reveals they’ve been to jail for manufacturing fentanyl. How exciting. Hopefully the police do anything about this

Luckily for the streamer, his business could be getting a bit of a boom. Local news covered the break-in and even interviewed him in the process, effectively providing a bit of a mini advertisement – though he did bash the location of his store.
“The neighborhood here isn’t really great,” he said in an interview with ABC. “I see it everywhere down the street. Tonnes of windows broken everywhere. So I guess it was our turn.”
After watching the news report live, Cody started laughing out loud. “Hey! We made the news.”
Hopefully, some of the stolen items can be recovered and business returns to normal for the streamer and his store.
