YouTube stars Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul tied the knot after two months of publicly dating – but their union is a decidedly open one, and it doesn’t seem like Mongeau is particularly happy about this arrangement.
While the internet at large is still confused about their relationship status, both Tana and Jake have admitted to having an open relationship with each other, with both parties revealing that they never got married “on paper.”
The legality of their marriage aside, Mongeau opened up about her union to the youngest Paul brother during a weed-induced Q & A session on November 20 – and she got real about her feelings on the subject.
When asked by a fan if she wished she wasn’t in an open relationship, the YouTuber answered with a definite “yes” – and even admitted that the decision wasn’t voluntary.
That’s not all: she went on to claim that she would likely never be exclusive with her husband, although not by her own choice.
“Probably not,” Mongeau said of the matter. “But not because I wouldn’t want that.”
A fan even asked about the possibility of their divorce, and who would divorce whom first – a hypothetical situation that Mongeau pinned on Paul, claiming that he would split with her first and calling herself “a doormat.”

“Jake would probably divorce me first,” she admitted in a joking tone. “Because I’m a doormat.”
Mongeau likewise revealed the amount of money she made from their live-streamed wedding, which sold at $50 per viewer (an expense that was later reportedly refunded to viewers).
“Just like TanaCon, I made zero dollars off of the wedding,” she said of the event. “Allegedly, everything was refunded, but I also feel like Jake probably made some money.”
In spite of her apparent misgivings, it doesn’t look like “Jana” is going away anytime soon – although other major YouTubers in the space are convinced the charade is real, with Jake’s ex-girlfriend Erika Costell comparing their marriage to her own “fake wedding” to Paul.
No matter the case, “Jana” continues to confuse us all – and apparently Tana Mongeau, herself.
