TikTok is leaving users confused and upset as the social media platform just hit a number of its biggest creators with seemingly “permanent” bans: Addison Rae, Charli D’Amelio, and Bella Poarch are among those impacted.
Bella Poarch might be a big-time music artist now, but fans can’t forget how she got her start on TikTok when she created the platform’s most-liked video of all time.
The ‘Build a Bitch’ singer has gone on to accrue massive internet fame, boasting a TikTok following of over 88.9 million fans (not including her nearly 6 million YouTube subscribers).
However, these fans were left totally confused after the star was the very first to be hit with an unexpected “permanent” ban from TikTok on April 12. This seemingly triggered a chain reaction as many of her peers at the top of TikTok were also hit with rapid bans shortly after.
Bella Poarch among first wave of surprise TikTok bans
Poarch shared a screenshot of a TikTok notification via Twitter, which said that she’d been permanently banned from the viral video site for “multiple violations of our community guidelines.”
The singer reacted to this news with a sad face emoji, seemingly just as confused as her listeners.

An hour after her account was hit offline, Poarch seemingly had the TikTok ban overturned.
At the time of writing, her account is once again active with all of her content now visible.
Addison Rae hit with “permanent” TikTok ban
Poarch wasn’t the only major TikTok star getting hit with a surprise ban from the platform today. Addison Rae also claimed she was banned from the site, showing that she’d similarly been in violation of Community Guidelines.
Luckily, she was able to joke about the ordeal, saying “I knew I should have deleted the twerking video.”

Similar to Poarch, Rae’s ban appeared to be temporary after all. Following the pattern, her TikTok account has since resurfaced, with fans once again able to view her content.
Charli D’Amelio banned on TikTok
That’s not all; even Charli D’Ameliowas seemingly hit with a permaban, leaving fans totally confused, upset, and concerned that this could be the result of another widespread hack like the one that saw questionable content uploaded to the YouTube channels of stars like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber last week.
It’s unclear exactly why all of these top stars were temporarily banned from the platform, though this certainly isn’t the first time something like this has occurred.
Just last year, Addison Rae received what was supposed to be a “permanent” ban from the site before getting reinstated after a short time.
Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae & Bella Poarch unbanned on TikTok
Luckily, it looks like the issue was resolved shorty afterwards, as all affected accounts have now been reinstated and are up and running again.
It looks like even Minecraft star Dream got hit with a ban, leading to a humorous interaction between the YouTube star and Bella Poarch, who joked that TikTok should “keep him banned because he was mean to me.”
.@tiktokcreators can u please keep @dreamwastaken banned, he was mean to me🥺
