Massively popular TikTok star Addison Rae was lost for words when a horde of fans unexpectedly crowded a shopping center in New York City during her vacation.

Addison Rae is a huge name on short-form video platform TikTok, boasting a whopping 15.3 million followers due to her viral content.

One of these vlogs detailed her winter trip to New York City, where she met up with a group of fellow internet celebrities to enjoy the Big Apple.

However, her vacation took an unexpected turn after the star Tweeted out her location to her 226k Twitter followers.

The tweet prompted a horde of fans to show up to the location en masse for the chance of an impromptu meet-and-greet.

Considering her massive online following, it comes as little surprise that Rae’s announcement triggered a flood of hopeful fans — but this wouldn’t be the first time an internet star has shut down a public venue, by far.

In fact, makeup mogul James Charles notably caused a traffic gridlock in Birmingham, England, with fans completely crowding the city’s Bullring shopping center to get a glimpse of the YouTuber as he opened a new Morphe store.

The 2019 incident came nearly an entire year before Rae’s own unexpected fan meetup, further prompting conversation regarding the real-life impact these “internet famous” content creators and the heights of their jaw-dropping celebrity status.
