Tim ‘TimTheTatman‘ Betar has finally made his return to Overwatch, but couldn’t help show a level of shock after seeing his new DPS rank.
The popular Twitch streamer, who can often be seen teaming up with Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, and other high profile personalities on the platform, decided to cave in to fan demand and came back to Blizzard’s title.
While his return was met with huge applause in his chat, the smile was soon wiped right off Tim’s face once he saw just how far his rank had diminished in the time he hasn’t been playing the game.
After loading into his first game back on Overwatch, he was shocked to find that his rank labeled him as a Diamond DPS player. It’s fair to say that he was very surprised to see that it wasn’t higher, but the reaction was hilarious nonetheless.
“Diamond? What? I am not a Diamond DPS,” he shouted. “Maybe I am actually. It may actually be true. I’m a Diamond DPS player. I mean, when I’m usually top 500 I’m usually support. When I was a GM [player] back when I normally played, I was tank or normally healer.”

Those who follow Tim’s streams on a regular basis will know that this is a little lower than what he was previously, but a consequence of not playing the game consistently.
However, this lower ranking might be a result of the new role queue feature that’s been added to PTR, which essentially means that every player has a different ranking depending on the role they select.
Where he might have been a higher ranked player on live servers in the past, this change might have tipped the balance for his DPS rank with the tested feature active.
Tim might have been saddened to see such a low ranking for that particular role on stream, but that didn’t stop his fans from having a laugh at his expense.
