TimTheTatman has announced that he’ll be leaving Twitch, following DrLupo and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop to YouTube Gaming with an exclusive streaming deal.
With over 7 million followers on Twitch, Tim is one of Twitch’s biggest names, but he’s now moving to a new home.
In an exclusive interview with Business Insider, Betar said: “I know it’s going to be a change and there are people that don’t like change,” he said. “Sometimes change ends up being a better thing.”
He announced the deal on Twitter.

The leader of the TatmanArmy definitely isn’t going to start from scratch on the new platform, as he already has 3.8 million subscribers that tune into his video uploads on his channel.
In jumping from Twitch to YouTube, Betar joins a roster of other top influencers including Ben “DrLupo” Lupo and Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter who have taken their business to the Google-owned platform over the last few years.

Why did TimTheTatman leave Twitch?
In his interview with Business Insider, TimTheTatman explained a few of the reasons he decided to leave the platform.
Having similar reasons as DrLupo when he announced his switch at the end of August, Betar stated: “When I started, I had no family obligations and I could [stream] a lot of hours, The reality is, now that I’ve got my wife and my son, it’s hard for me to stream as much as I did beforehand.”
The creator went on to say in the interview: “I’d say seven to eight out of 10 people coming up to me go, ‘Man, I love your YouTube,'” he said. “I have more followers on Twitch but a lot of people day-to-day call me a YouTuber.”
When is TimTheTatmans first YouTube stream?
The leader of the TatmanArmy announced at the end of his Twitter announcement video that his first stream on YouTube will be September 2, 2021.
His first stream on the platform will take place on his main channel.
