Twitch have handed out a ban to a streamer who publicly said he wanted to punch a female streamer in the face while he was broadcasting live.
The streamer, Viikzys, was scrolling through the Just Chatting section on Twitch and came across a female streamer named Kaylee, who was complaining about somebody “trying to talk shit to all egirls.”
Apparently this was enough to trigger Viikzys, who turned to his viewers and said “God dude I fucking hate this thot dude. She’s the type of person in fucking high school that I just want to punch in the fucking face, like honestly. I just want to fucking punch her in the goddamn face.”
This was brought to the attention of the masses by esports and gaming insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, who put this clip out on Twitter for everyone to see.
“This Twitch streamer Viikzys going around harassing women on the platform, saying he wants to punch them in the face,” Slasher tweeted. “Who hurt you dudes?
This caught the attention of Twitch, who proceeded to suspend Viikzys, after which he took to Twitter and began posting explanations and apologies about the situation.

“People always talk about titty streamers and all this shit and I agreed and I wanted to do something,” he tweeted. “I was approaching it the wrong way so I am at fault for that and I’m taking responsibility for some of the things I said, and I said things I shouldn’t have, so I apologize.
However, according to the comments section of his tweets, not many people were willing to buy his apology, some feeling that he was only saying this things in order to get back into the good graces of Twitch and his viewers.

It’s not clear how long Twitch have suspended Viikzys, but it is a good sign that the platform is taking strong initiative against those who spread around aggressive and hateful comments at other users.
