A Twitch streamer is going viral after a ‘Karen’ randomly harassed her as she was broadcasting on the street, calling the creator a “square” and a “Gen-Z dork.”
For many IRL streamers, getting harassed by random strangers is just par for the course.
We’ve covered a slew of instances where broadcasters were accosted by passersby and even threatened, as seen when streamer ‘reydempto’ was chased by a man threatening to “kill” him for streaming in a public park.
Now, another installment has entered the annals of viral IRL stream moments — this time when a ‘Karen’ randomly decided to insult a streamer as she was broadcasting her evening walk.
Twitch streamer harassed by ‘Karen’ in bizarre “Gen-Z” rant
Twitch streamers ‘The Dinomite Twins’ are twin sisters, dancers, and self-described ‘city explorers’ who often broadcast their excursions throughout New York City.
One half of the Dinomite Twins was out exploring Austin, Texas on the night of September 7 when she was accosted by a random woman who hurled a slew of insults toward her in a strange encounter that’s taking social media by storm.
“Lame!” the woman shouted from out of frame, causing the streamer to turn around and ask her very innocently: “What’s lame?”
“You and your bullsh*t social media crap!” the woman shouted back. “Sellout.”

“Why am I a sellout?” the streamer asked.
“You’re a square!” the stranger replied.
“Aww, that’s really sad!” the Dinomite twin said.
“You’re a dork!” the woman continued. “You’re young and Gen Z and that requires you to put your f*cking camera and selfie stick… You’re a dork.” The woman then walked up to the streamer, saying, “You’re a dork. Admit it.”
The woman then mocked the streamer’s response to her and pulled out her phone to record the encounter, continuously mocking her voice and polite responses while also ranting on about Gen Z and their “computerized, AI generation.”
Luckily, commenters were on the streamer’s side in this strange encounter that had some viewers wondering if they weren’t watching a comedy skit.
This wouldn’t be the first time someone’s taken issue with IRL streamers, by far. In fact, viewers were left disgusted after popular streamer ExtraEmily was targeted by racist comments during one of her IRL broadcasts back in 2022, while Twitch star Knut was left shocked after a man confronted him for “filming him” during an IRL stream earlier this year.
