Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Grace Van Dien, known for her role as Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things, instantly became best friends while streaming Valorant together on YouTube and Twitch, with the pair saying their energy matched perfectly.
Van Dien, who streams on Twitch under the name ‘bluefille‘, got lots of attention on the platform in June when fans found her livestreaming Valorant.
Her streams started off in March, and were fairly low-key, only attracting around 50-100 viewers, but when Stranger Things Season 4 released on Netflix in May, her stream grew in popularity too.
Streaming Valorant most days, Grace started to pull in over 1,000 viewers, and after streaming with Valkyrae, Disguised Toast, LilyPichu, and Tarik, her stream eclipsed 20,000 viewers.
Valkyrae and ‘Chrissy’ become best friends
It was clear to everyone immediately that Valkyrae and Grace had hit it off, with their giddy energy matching. Although, Valkyrae made a slight faux pas by continuing to call her ‘Chrissy’ rather than Grace – mixing up her real name and her character’s name.
After streaming together, Valkyrae was busy explaining how much she loved ‘Chrissy’, when Grace said the exact same about her.
“I love her. Her energy is the fuel to my soul. Oh my god she’s so cute,” Valkyrae gushed, before Grace (unaware Valkyrae was watching) commented “I want to be her best friend.”

“She has energy that matches mine and it is very hard to find that. I don’t care, she’s my new best friend.”
The pair got on so well in fact, that Disguised Toast joked that playing with them both was like playing with “two Valkyraes.”
We have no doubt that this duo will be playing together again in the very near future, potentially starting with Among Us, as they are both fans of the party game.
In the meantime, Grace, aka bluefille, is become a streaming star in her own right – crossing over 100,000 followers on Twitch, although she isn’t partnered yet.
