Vitaly Zdorovetskiy reportedly spent five nights in an Egyptian jail after being arrested for scaling the Great Pyramid of Giza, describing the experience as “horrible” to his fans.
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and is heralded as one of Egypt’s most historic relics. In his “take over Egypt” trip, the Russian YouTuber found himself in hot water after scaling the landmark.
Vitaly was allegedly locked up for five days after climbing to the top of the pyramid, and while it’s not his first time in the slammer, it was certainly his “worst.”
“No words can explain what I just went through the past five days,” he said, talking about the conditions of the Egyptian prison. “I was locked up in Egypt because I climbed the Pyramids of Giza.”
He went on to say that he saw some terrible things, and that the experience was terrifying. “I’ve been in jail many times but this one was by far the very worst. I saw horrible things and I don’t wish this upon anybody,” he said.
However, Vitaly reserved no regrets for it all, adding climbing the relic was one of the best moments of his life and he’s got some good footage to share with fans.

“Was it worth it? F**k yeah! I did it for a good cause and soon I’m going to share the whole video so the whole world can see,” he said.
He hasn’t revealed what the good cause was, but the YouTuber has used his 10 million strong following on the platform to donate money to charities in the past.

The YouTuber often shares tidbits of his extravagant life on social media, and scaling the pyramids is up there as one of his more outlandish endeavors.

He’s no stranger to trying to get views from the top of the world’s most historic monuments though. The Russian arrested over climbing the Hollywood sign back in 2016, as well as numerous other cases of trespass at major sporting events.
However, he might think twice about doing it again if he wants to avoid a nasty stay in jail in a foreign country, especially if it was as bad as he suggested.
