After flying from Singapore to the United States because she found a mate on LinkedIn, Shann Ng says she refuses to look for dates on apps like Hinge or Tinder.
Singapore native Shann Ng thought out of the box when it came to dating in 2014. Taking to the workforce app LinkedIn, Shann’s results were surprisingly positive.
Though she would travel to the United States to live with the man of her dreams, whom she met via LinkedIn, Shann would eventually venture back to Singapore without him.
Nonetheless, Shann opened up with Daily Mail about never wanting to use dating apps like Hinge or Tinder after finding such success on LinkedIn.
Woman refuses to meet a guy unless they add her on LinkedIn
Shann wasn’t initially looking for love on LinkedIn when she directly messaged her former flame for their opinion on a product. However, when the two clicked over common interests, they decided to take their relationship to the next level.
Though Shann was living in Singapore at the time, the guy she met traveled all the way from LA to meet her within one month.

The two would soon move in together in the United States. Though they broke up after six months of living together, Shann told Daily Mail that she won’t go back to using regular dating apps.
“The likelihood I will meet up with someone from a dating app is 0% unless that person adds me on LinkedIn.”
Shann continued: “Honestly I don’t see myself re-downloading dating apps. Having to see all these things that happen to women every day — I am better off focusing on myself.”
Shann then went on to say that if ever a guy wants to meet her, she will “always” ask them to add her on LinkedIn. If they don’t have one, she’ll refuse to meet them.
What’s more, Shann began a new trend within her friend’s group, as she said her pals are now using LinkedIn as a “dating tool.”
