Popular streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was left blown away by a bizarre new way to get Twitch subs, as he followed in the footsteps of another streamer.
At the start of his June 24 stream, the former Overwatch League pro was doing what he normally does – interacting with fans by taking on music and video suggestions before deciding on which game he was going to be playing.
However, his interest was piqued by one clip in particular that showed a streamer – SenikaTwitch – receiving a ton of new subscribers purely by running through a fitness routine centered around squats. This, in turn, sparked an idea from xQc to see if the same thing could happen to him.
“Is that all the new subs?” xQc asked, as a counter on her stream started going crazy. As his viewers flooded the chat with confirmation, the streamer immediately jumped up and begun following the squatting motion.
However, it didn’t work as planned. The former Overwatch pro exclaimed: “I’m losing subs. No, no, no! Stop, stop, stop!” before diving back into his chair to quell the losses. Yet, things took a positive spin when he opened up his analytics page and watched a ton of new subscribers flock to his channel.

“Holy shit, are you kidding?” added a clearly blown away xQc after seeing his subscriber numbers fly up. “What the fuck. That is crazy.” His appreciation for the new subs didn’t stop him for laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation, though, as he loudly laughed at the eye-watering number of new subs.
After the wild initial influx of subscribers had died down, viewers were still handing out gifted subscriptions to those fans who weren’t subbed to xQc.
While the strange method may have worked right off the bat for the Canadian, fans still flock to his channel to see him rage at games – so it’s probably unlikely that he makes the switch to becoming a full-time fitness streamer anytime soon.
