Fans of Joyce undoubtedly helped with the search, with her name trending on social media after news of her absence was spread.
Having not been seen since July 31, Metropolitan police were first alerted on August 7, meaning it has taken roughly three days for the YouTuber to be found.
The news was more worrying given Joyce’s history on YouTube. In 2016, she made headlines after conspiracy theories that she was being held against her will by terrorist group ISIS gained traction.
According to the theorists, Joyce had been whispering “help me please”, and using eye-movement signals to raise the alarm. As the concerns were elevated to authorities, police stated that Joyce was ‘safe and well’ in that instance too.
