With Escape from Tarkov’s 0.13 update, which included a new map and a wipe, there is also a new Twitch drops event. Here’s everything you need to know to take part in EFT’s New Year celebrations, like previous years.
Battlestate Games are celebrating the New Year by offering players limited-time Twitch drops.
Thanks to the wipe in update 0.13 (check out the full patch notes here) lots of players are jumping back into Tarkov this winter.
If you’re one of them, then make sure you take advantage of the New Year’s Twitch drops, as they won’t be around forever.

Escape from Tarkov New Year Twitch Event dates
To earn the Twitch drops, you need to watch Escape from Tarkov on Twitch between December 29, 2022 and January 8, 2023 at the same time.
In order to be eligible for the drops however, you will need to own a copy of the game, and link your accounts. Here’s how to do that.
How to claim Escape from Tarkov Twitch drops
In order to claim Escape from Tarkov’s Twitch drops, there is a specific list of streamers you need to tune into. There are countless streamers here though, so check out the official list here.

However, on December 29 and January 7 and 8, you just need to watch any stream in the Escape from Tarkov Twitch category.
In order to claim your loot drops you’ll need to link your Twitch to your Tarkov account:
- Log into the official Escape from Tarkov website.
- Sign into your Twitch account.
- Select “link Twitch account” from the right-hand menu.
- Watch participating streams to earn drops.
Escape from Twitch rewards
So, what rewards can you expect to earn as drops? Battlestate explains, “you will be guaranteed to receive 1 in-game item at certain intervals: weapons, gear, various rare items, etc.
“You can watch one or more broadcasts, but viewing time will only count if these broadcasts are part of the event.”
