EA SPORTS might have faced some backlash from the community due to their handling of FIFA 20, but a brand new feature that’s been added to Ultimate Team cards has been met with open arms.
The game’s developers have been making changes to the game wherever possible, rolling out patches to bring more content to the game – more recently in the form of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Update #12 – and have seemingly made another interesting tweak to FUT 20 as well.
With thousands of Ultimate Team cards to collect, whether that be base players, TOTW, or more special cards, a handy new dropdown in the Player Details section has been positively received by many players, despite the change coming some six months after the title’s release.
As seasoned veterans of the game mode will know already, looking at cards in-depth can be much better than just judging them on their six base stats presented on the front of the card, giving players a chance to review exactly what they bring to the table – if you were to buy them.
The Player Details bar had previously pulled up three different sets of information: player bio, player details, and attribute details. However, a fourth has been added to that list.
The latest addition, as seen in a Reddit post below from LeopoldMashallah, allows players to check a card’s traits whenever they want. This means that FUT club owners can check whether or not, for example, their player has the Outside Foot Shot ability, Injury Prone trait and more.

This should be a really useful addition for players looking to exploit specific and original traits that each member of their squad possesses, with one Reddit user in the thread saying: “That is genuinely one of the best things they’ve done all year,” and another stating: “Be thankful for the little things.”
For those who don’t know all of the traits available in FIFA 20, we’ve named them all in the full list below.
FIFA 20 traits
Traits are split into four different types in FIFA 20 – according to EA SPORTS. These are standard, CPU AI, Career Mode and Virtual Pro – so clearly not all included in the game are available in Ultimate Team. Those that are, however, can be found below.
- Finesse shot
- Outside Foot Shot
- Power Header
- Long Throw-In
- Giant Throw-In
- Takes Powerful Driven Free-kicks
- Swerve
- Fancy Passes
- Flair
- Injury Prone
- Flat Kick
- Rush Out of Goal
- GK: Cautious with Crosses
- GK: Comes for Crosses
- GK: Save with Foot
- GK: Long Thrower
- Leadership
- One Club Player
- Team Player
This new feature will allow you to identify certain abilities and techniques each player has before buying them, which might be the difference between you purchasing one card over another. A small, yet useful, change.
