FIFA 21 FUT Birthday cards revealed with new SBC & Objectives

It’s time for Ultimate Team to celebrate FIFA 21 FUT Birthday, and EA have lined up some new content for the occasion. Here’s an overview of everything we know, including the new promo cards, SBC and Objectives. 

Since first being released back in FIFA 09, Ultimate Team has gone from strength to strength on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. The formula stays the same, but new content and features make things fresh every year.

The constant new promos are always something to look forward to, and in FIFA 21, we’ve had some classics as well as some new ones.

The next big promo that we’re gearing up for is FUT Birthday, the annual celebration of Ultimate Team’s inception. So, here’s what we know about FIFA 21’s plans for the party, including some details that have leaked ahead of schedule.

FIFA 21 FUT Birthday start date

Instead of starting on the game’s actual birthday date, this year FUT Birthday kicks off on March 26, 2021.

On March 23, we caught a glimpse of the first loading screen hyping up the promo event.

FUT Birthday teasers and card design

A handful of teasers have been released during the last week. They initially showed off the theme of the promo, which was previously leaked – as seen in a later section of this article. 

These teasers dropped very small details about what to expect, such as the nationality of some players included in the next promo team.

The FUT Birthday loading screen finally emerged on March 23, teasing the event.

The next teaser included three hints, which were “Gemini”, “August” and “1989”.

The final loading screen, seen below, revealed one player – previously just teased as Gemini – would have five star skill moves. The center graphic was built into as well, showing off a Brazil flag. We also know the last card in this teaser will be a 90-rated right footer.

FUT Birthday leaks and teasers 

Many people claimed to have the scoop this time, for the promo landing on March 26.

This apparent leak came in from Huxley who claimed to have gotten a snap of an EA Sports FIFA tweet as the image was promptly deleted.

Some players always try to trick people with mockup designs of the team, posing as predictions, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. There was zero chance that this is the real team, as seen with the confirmed set.

While we were left to speculate about what was going to be included, King Langpard on Twitter (who has leaked several FUT promos recently) accurately leaked that March 26 would be the date this promo is set to go live. Previously, he confirmed FUT Player Days would be returning – which it did on March 8, 2021. 

Also seen in the tweet above, it will be a two week event – presumably packed with content. 

Since that time, the card design was leaked by FUT Watch.

FIFA 21 FUT Birthday cards & rewards

In previous years, EA have released boosted cards of some of the best players in the game. No one will be forgetting FIFA 20’s Nick Pope in a hurry.

It will be a similar story this year, too. We’ll get a team or two of players releasing, as well as special packs, and a nice new card design.

Two new cards are included in the FUT Birthday celebrations, and these are the following:

Just like with Team of the Year and other major promos, lightning rounds and special packs should return in this years celebration.

Though, it’s unlikely that we’ll get any new pack types. They’ll likely just be the ones we’ve come to know and open each and every year.
