EA SPORTS are working towards the FIFA 22 release date but now, players finally know when we can pre-order the next game, but should also be aware of a 20% discount anybody can take advantage of.
Throughout 2021, EA developers will be drip-feeding new details on Ultimate Team, Career Mode, VOLTA Football, Pro Clubs, and others aspects.
The first biggest drop of news will come in the form of an EA Play press conference in July – a month later than usual. There is also a chance that the Summer Game Fest will also include a first-look at FIFA 22, which starts on June 10, and EA will be taking part.
Hype is through the roof for those gaming events, with so many having been canceled in the last 12 months, and naturally, interest will start to grow in pre-orders. For those looking to pencil themselves in for a copy of the new game, we have a few quick tips, as well as when you’ll be able to reserve your copy.

When do FIFA 22 pre-orders start?
FIFA 22 pre-orders will be made available on July 11 2021, on Amazon, and via Xbox and PlayStation stores.
Once those are ready to be placed, we will update this article. However, there is nowhere you can place a pre-order just yet as the title has not been revealed.
FIFA 22 discounts
Just like you could in FIFA 21, there is an easy method to get another discount:
- Load up FIFA 21 on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC.
- Scroll through the main menu and head over to the right side of the screen.
- Select ‘Pre-order FIFA 22’.
- Access the online store page for FIFA 22.
- Place your pre-order with the discount.
This will appear in FIFA 21, as it does routinely, once pre-orders open up and will grant you 10% off the new game.

FIFA 22 prices: Standard Edition, Ultimate Edition and benefits
EA SPORTS have released FIFA games in three different versions for a number of years now, and (with no sign of that changing this year) those are as follows:
Standard Edition | £59.99 / $59.99 |
---|---|
Ultimate Edition | £89.99 / $99.99 |
These prices have now been confirmed on EA’s official page for FIFA 22, and they’ve also detailed some of the editions coming this year.
Ultimate Edition
The cream of the crop editions for FIFA 22 is going to offer some boosts for players looking to get a head start on their FUT squads, along with four days early access worldwide.
Priced at $99.99 USD, the Ultimate Edition will include the following perks.
- TOTW 1 Player Item
- Kylian Mbappe Load Item
- FUT AMbassador Load Player Pick
- Career Mode Homegrown Talent
- FUT Heroes Player Item
- 4 days early access
- 4600 FIFA Points
- Ones to Watch Player Item
Standard Edition
Finally, we have the Standard Edition, which doesn’t have near as many bells and whistles as the above two, but still offers some bonuses to players who decide to pre-order.
The big loss for not upgrading editions is that you won’t be able to play the game four days earlier than others with the regular edition of FIFA 22. But, you’ll be granted the following items.
- TOTW 1 Player Item
- Kylian Mbappe Load Item
- FUT AMbassador Load Player Pick
- Career Mode Homegrown Talent
Differences in editions
While the editions are vastly similar compared to previous years, the Ultimate Edition is going to offer the aforementioned four days early access, along with 4600 FIFA Points, Ones to Watch Player Item, and FUT Heroes Player Item.
As well, the Ultimate Edition is going to offer players the opportunity to take advantage of the Dual Entitlement incentive for current-gen and previous-gen consoles.
Dual Entitlement
Opting for the Ultimate Edition is also going to allow players to use the Dual Entitlement feature EA has been rolling out for titles such as Madden. Meaning, if you own a PS4/Xbox One, you’ll also be able to play the game on a PS5/Xbox Series X/S.
