Virgil van Dijk’s FIFA 20 Ultimate Team starting XI has been revealed

EA SPORTS FIFA

Virgil van Dijk might be playing in the best team in the world this season, but how many of his Liverpool teammates make it into his very own FIFA 20 Ultimate Team?

Jurgen Klopp’s side have managed to go over 40 games unbeaten in the Premier League, not to mention their Champions League heroics of the previous season, and the big Dutchman striding around at center-back has been an integral part of the successful setup.

Just like many professional footballers playing Ultimate Team, Van Dijk has been given his very own 99 special card by EA SPORTS – which is a surefire way of knowing you have come up against a pro in-game.

Virgil was named as one of FIFA 20’s cover stars during Liverpool’s 2019 pre-season tour of the United States.

Reddit user McStazza couldn’t believe his luck after facing off against the Champions League winner, and Premier League winner in waiting, posting the side that he fielded against him on February 1, in Division Rivals.

While the inclusion of his own special card was always going to be a certainty, there are a lot of Brazilian players in Virgil’s team, including icons such as Ronaldo, Pele, Ronaldinho, and more.

There’s enough room for some Dutch talent from years gone by, too, though – as Clarence Seedorf, Ronald Koeman, and Ruud Gullit made the cut. So, let’s take a look at the whole lineup and see how many Liverpool stars were picked.

Virgil van Dijk’s FIFA 20 Ultimate Team

  • GK: Allison Becker (89)
  • CB: Virgil van Dijk (99)
  • CB: Ronald Koeman (88)
  • LB: Andy Robertson (86)
  • RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold (85)
  • CDM: Clarence Seedorf (88)
  • CM: Ruud Gullit (90)
  • CM: Lionel Messi (94)
  • CAM: Ronaldinho (91)
  • ST: Pele (95)

Clearly, there are a lot of unbelievable cards to talk about, with two in-form flying fullbacks included in the mix, and an impressive midfield three of Messi, Seedorf, and Gullit. Not to mention the Brazilian flair of the attackers, who probably chip in with their fair share of goals too.

Van Dijk isn’t the only Dutchman to have their Ultimate Team starting lineup revealed in recent times, however, as Quincy Promes’ side was revealed by another player too.
