An Instacart shopper went viral when they shared a shockingly hilarious mishap, after they ordered some fresh lemons and got something a little different.
A TikToker named Charlotte took to the platform to share a story with viewers following on from her most recent Instacart order.
“OK, so I ordered Instacart to get some groceries and I ordered some lemons. Right? Pretty easy.” she explains. “Nothing complicated about picking up some lemons. I guess they were out of stock.
“And instead of just like, marking them as out of stock on the app and giving me a refund or asking if I want a substitution, my Instacart shopper thought that these fake plastic lemons would be a suitable replacement for a pound of real lemons… Hmm. Am I crazy or does this just like, not make any sense? Like, what am I supposed to do with these?”
She then holds up the plastic lemons in question for viewers to see.

“I can’t believe it lol. I’m an (Instacart) shopper and this is unreal,” one told her.
One attempted to explain what was going on, writing: “The app makes suggestions for replacements so it could be an app issue. It once suggested dog food as a replacement for cat litter to me.”
