These adorable YuGiOh Hello Kitty McDonald’s Happy Meal toys went viral back in March 2024 as people scrambled to collect all 10 plush toys from the iconic collab. The bad news was, they were only available in Belgium.
Now, to celebrate the 50th birthday of Hello Kitty, these Happy Meal toys are being rolled out in the US, with nine of the original 10 plushies available.
The meals may be kid-sized, but these toys were wildly popular with adults, so here’s how to get your hands on them before they’re gone.
What are the YuGiOh Hello Kitty Happy Meal toys?
The lineup included the following in Belgium:
- My Melody as Dark Magician Girl
- Tuxedosam as Obelisk the Tormentor
- Chococat as The Winged Dragon of Ra
- Hello Kitty as Dark Magician
- Pompompurin as Exodia the Forbidden One
- Pochacco as Time Wizard
- Badtz-maru as Red-Eyes Black Dragon
- Keroppi as Kuriboh
- Cinnamonoll as Blue-Eyes White Dragon
- Kuromi as Slifer the Sky Dragon
However, the Badtz-maru as Red-Eyes Black Dragon toy will not be available in the US iteration of this collaboration.
How to get YuGiOh Hello Kitty Happy Meal toys
McDonald’s announced posted on X on August 20 announcing the official arrival of these toys in stores:

They had previously teased the collaboration the day before, stating that they were “mixing friend groups.”
Unlike other McDonald’s launches, Happy Meal Toys can’t simply be ordered, and there is often an air of mystery around how long they will be available for.
To get one of these toys, you simply need to order any Happy Meal at your local McDonald’s. These are being launched across the country, but if you want to be sure, check with your store before ordering.
The toys are randomly placed inside the red boxes, so if you want to collect them all you’re in for a lot of chicken nuggets.
Collecting all of these YuGiOh Hello Kitty Happy Meal toys could be worth it in the end though, because McDonald’s current Collector’s Cup promo, which includes a Hello Kitty cup, is selling for hundreds of dollars online already.
