A mom is going viral on TikTok after revealing the “horrible” grilled cheese she purchased for her son at Panera Bread for a whopping $8.
Panera Bread is a well-known restaurant chain in the United States specializing in soup, sandwiches and the like.
Lately, the franchise has come under scrutiny from consumers after a woman died upon consuming the chain’s ‘Charged Lemonade,’ which contains more caffeine than “Red Bull and Monster energy drinks combined,” as per a lawsuit filed against the company.
Panera is coming under fire once again after a woman showed off a grilled cheese she bought from the restaurant in a TikTok clip that’s going viral.
Mom’s Panera Bread grilled cheese sparks outrage online
TikTok user and mom Jordan Furness is taking social media by storm, leaving viewers shocked over the $8 grilled cheese she got from Panera in a video that’s sparking outrage from viewers.
In the clip, Furness shows off the grilled cheese, which boasts one burnt piece of toast that was actually the heel of a loaf of bread — not something that’s usually used on most sandwiches.
That’s not all; the bottom piece of bread was not toasted at all, and the sandwich was ultimately cold… but that pales in comparison to the measly two thin slices of cheese that were melted in the middle.

“I just feel like, this is clearly a kids’ meal, and the quality of this… I mean, I paid almost like eight dollars for this grilled cheese and a yogurt.”
She also tagged Panera in her post, writing, “Sorry, but for $8 I think my son’s meal could’ve been made with a little love.”
Commenters are in agreement with the frustrated mom, with one user calling the sandwich “horrible.”
“I don’t do Panera bread anymore. Their qualities went downhill and the prices have gone up,” another wrote.
“The quality of Panera has plummeted. No longer a customer,” another said, while yet another viewer called it the “worst fast food ever.”
Thus far, it doesn’t look like Panera has responded to Furness’s viral video, leaving viewers demanding an answer from the company.
