A Wendy’s customer felt played by the restaurant after they sent her a gift card with no money on it.
Wendy’s customer Mx. Ram shared with her 887k TikTok followers how she got “played” by the fast food restaurant.
Though she was given a gift card from the corporate office of Wendy’s with the amount of $25 written on it, Mx. Ram’s gift card had zero funds on it.
However, Mx. Ram found out the Wendy’s gift card was empty only after ordering her food and trying to pay with it, leaving her feeling rather “embarrassed.”
Viewers rally for Wendy’s to “make it right” for customer
Mx. Ram previously took to TikTok to share how Wendy’s sent her 170+ students a frosty key tag that ensures a year’s worth of free frosties for each student.
Along with the key tags, Mx. Ram was given a $25 Wendy’s gift card. However, when she went to use it on a bacon burger combo meal, the cashier told her there was no money on it.

Knowing she hadn’t used it yet, Mx. Ram said she felt “played” by the restaurant. She then paid for her own meal after the cashier contacted their manager about the issue.
Viewers of Mx. Ram’s viral TikTok have since reacted by saying Wendy’s should send her what they intended, “@Wendy’s what? You can’t play like that! She does what WE like best Teach…. And promote! Cmon! Give it to her!”
Others commented by calling Mx. Ram “amazing.” While some agreed they too, would be embarrassed if they unknowingly paid for their food with an empty gift card.
Though most viewers rallied for Wendy’s to “make it right” for Mx. Ram, the restaurant has yet to respond to her video with an offering of a fully loaded gift card like many would like to see happen.
