With the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers less than two weeks away, Epic Games have unveiled a brand new lucrative tournament called Fortnite World Cup Warmup.
The Fortnite World Cup Warmup will be an in-game Duos tournament that features a $500,000 worldwide prize pool, with qualification to it open for all players across the world.

When is the Fortnite World Cup Warmup?
The Fortnite World Cup Warmup will take place April 6-7, the final weekend before the first of 10 weeks of qualifier tournaments for the Fortnite World Cup.
The semifinals of the Warmup will take place during a three-hour period of matches on Saturday, April 6, and the Duos that place in the top 1,500 will advance to the finals on Sunday, April 7, which will also be decided with a three-hour period of matches.
The exact times for both stages of the tournament will be region-based, and we will have the full list of times for each region once it gets announced by Epic in the coming days.
How to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup Warmup
In order to qualify for this tournament, both players of an eligible Duo must have reached at least the sixth division of the Contender’s League in the Arena Mode.
This means that both players must have earned at least 225 Hype, the minimum amount amount of hype needed to reach Division Six, in the Arena Mode prior to the start of the Warmup.

Hype are points that players earn by playing matches in the Arena Mode, and these points are awarded for Victory Royales, match placements, and eliminations.
Format and scoring of the Fortnite World Cup Warmup
The format and scoring system used in the Fortnite World Cup Warmup will be very similar to previous in-game tournaments like the Blackheart and Luxe Cups.
- Victory Royale: +3 points
- Reach top-5: +2 points
- Reach top-10: +2 points
- Reach top-15: +3 points
- Eliminations: +1 point each
Prize breakdown of Fortnite World Cup Warmup
The overall $500,000 prize pool of the Fortnite World Cup Warmup will be split up between each of the six main regions – NA West, NA East, Europe, Oceania, Asia, and Brazil.
The exact way that the prize money will be distributed to players from each regions has not yet been revealed, but players should expect Europe to receive the biggest share, followed by NA East, then NA West, then the three remaining regions.
Epic have said that they will announce further details about the Fortnite World Cup Warmup between now and the start of the tournament, which we will provide to you as soon as it becomes available.
