Professional Fortnite player FaZe Nate Hill has introduced a unique ranking system idea for the popular battle royale title, as posted in a Tweet on November 17.
Hill’s idea for the system takes from the sport of golf, rewarding competitive events based on their significance and holding playoffs for top competitors who perform well throughout the year.
“Pro Fortnite could use a ranking system like golf,” Hill wrote. “Rewarding consistency and significance of events. Then hold playoffs like FedEx Cup for those who play well all year. Too many questionable top 10 lists out here.”

FaZe content creator Ricky Banks appeared to agree with Hill’s idea, replying to his Tweet saying, “You’re slept on big time.”
While Hill’s concept addresses a need for a formal ranking system for the game, it also appears to have been made in response to the widespread Top Ten lists of Fortnite players, which have recently been making their way throughout social media.

In fact, one of these lists was made by 100 Thieves’ Kenith, who jokingly placed Ryan Reynolds, Gordon Ramsay, and other celebrities and fictional characters in his Top Ten ranking players.

Although Fortnite’s Fall Skirmish series provided rankings for its ‘Clubs’, a global list of current leaders is still missing from the game – not to mention the absence of a wider competitive circuit outside of Epic’s Skirmishes, in general.
While competitive Fortnite continues to develop, Hill’s idea might have introduced an important concept for both future tournaments and player rankings for the title.
