The first ever official Fortnite trios tournament is just around the corner – here are all the teams confirmed to be playing so far.
Prior to taking a two-week summer break, Epic Games announced that the first trio tournament in Fortnite history would take place on July 13-14, just weeks before the $30 million World Cup in New York City.
While trios have been in Fortnite before, it has never been adapted to the Arena Mode, where the siphon mechanic is present as well as an increased harvesting rate.
So, here are all the confirmed teams believed to be competing so far…
Mongraal – Benjyfishy – MrSavageM
Considered one of the early favorites for the entire tournament, three of the best players in EU will partner up. New FaZe recruit Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson links with with NRG duo Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish and Martin ‘MrSavageM’ Anderson.
All three qualified the World Cup on multiple occasions and could be a force to be reckoned with.
Tfue – Cloak – 72hrs
Despite not qualifying for the World Cup duo event, popular duo Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore will be hoping for better luck in the trios tournament alongside Team Liquid’s Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan.
72hrs also failed to secure a spot in New York and hinted he would be trying out multiple trio partners, until he finds the right fit.
Aqua – Stompy – Tschinken
No team performed better in the World Cup qualifiers than Eleven Gaming duo Klaus ‘Stompy’ Konstanzer and Thomas ‘Tschinken’ Horak, finishing in the top three teams every week in the EU region.
Add in solo and duo qualified Aqua, they are rightly among the favorites to win the entire tournament.
Bizzle – Zayt – Saf
Three of competitive Fortnite’s most dominant players will trio together after Ghost Gaming’s Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller announced he would join forces with fellow Ghost star Rocco ‘Saf’ Morales and NRG Esports’ William ‘Zayt’ Aubin.
Given their prowess as a duo, as well as Bizzle’s solo ability, this should also be a team to watch.
Chap – Cizlucky – Brush
After struggling in the qualifiers alongside his Liquid teammate Poach, Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo won’t be partnering with anyone from his org, instead joining Tempo Storm pro players Chris ‘Cizlucky’ Perez and Craig ‘Brush’ Hechmer.

The trio have been practicing relentlessly and their similar playstyles mean they should perform well.
NICKMERCS – Nio Rooch – SypherPK
Controller duo Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and ‘NioRooch’ revealed they will be teaming with Luminosity Gaming’s Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan due to their chemistry while playing duos together.
Sypher’s quick editing and trademark trap plays should combine well with two of the best controller players in the world.
Aspect – Bugha – Animal
World Cup qualifiers Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf and Nick ‘Aspect’ Maguire will partner fellow Sentinels teammate Owen ‘Animal’ Wright – who was tipped as a favorite for the $30m tournament.
Despite failing to qualify, Animal will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance alongside two players he knows better than anyone.
Dubs – Megga – Clix
FaZe Clan stars Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh and ‘Megga’ are considered two of the best players in the world after blowing the competition away in the World Cup qualifiers.
To make things even worse for their opponents, they will team with Misfits star Cody ‘Clix’ Conrad – who is also qualified for both solos and duos – meaning they one of the scariest teams currently formed.
Khuna – Jarvis – Issa
As two of the best controller players in the scene, FaZe Clan’s Jarvis ‘Jarvis’ Kaye and Ghost Gaming’s Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim have an excellent chance of placing highly as they team with Team Atlantis star Dino ‘Khuna’ Smirko.
With all players having fantastic aim and mechanical skill, expect them to cause havoc.
Ceice – Elevate – Riversan
100 Thieves veteran Davis ‘Ceice’ McClellan joins his teammate Hayden ‘Elevate’ Krueger as well as the newest Team Liquid recruit River ‘Riversan’ Handley to form an extremely confident NAE line up.
All players know what it takes to compete among the best players in the world so should have no issues dealing with the level of competition on offer.
