In Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, choosing the best landing spots is crucial for gaining an early advantage and securing a Victory Royale during your Battle Royale matches.
Whether it’s landing spots with tons of loot or quieter spots with prime locations on the Island, some locations in Fortnite have proved better than others to head for when jumping out of the Battle Bus.
With a mix of the first few chapters in Fortnite history, we’re witnessing a truly unique meta. New NPCs have also showed up to shake things up. So, if you want to know which are the best spots to land, we have all the information you need to be in the loop.
Below is a list of the best Fortnite locations you can land at in Chapter 2 Remix.
Best drop spots in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix
Slurpy Swamp
Let’s start strong with Slurpy Swamp. Located on the eastern side of the map, this is the place to fill up on shields fast.
Shields can be scarce in Chapter 2 Remix, but Slurpy has all the goods: slurp barrels, slurp trucks, and even healing water.
Start at the main building (it’s loaded with chests, floor loot, and a teddy bear room). This area is also a resource jackpot, especially for those in Build mode, with tons of metal and brick to max out on materials.
Once you’re fully looted and shielded up, grab a vehicle or head to the nearby dam to use a rift for a map-crossing rotation. Slurpy is your all-in-one spot to begin any match prepped and ready.
The Rig
If you’re a thrill-seeker after serious loot, head to The Rig. Sure, it might get crowded, but that’s where the fun begins.
The Rig is home to bosses that drop keycards for the vault, meaning top-tier loot if you play your cards right.
When things get hectic, feel free to let other players do the heavy lifting – take your time to gather shields nearby, swoop in for the third-party cleanup, and claim the vault without breaking a sweat.
The Rig also has ample metal resources, so you can max out materials before rotating. There’s a handy rift here too, ideal for a quick escape or a surprise repositioning on unsuspecting foes.
The Lighthouse
Now let’s switch to a calmer choice: The Lighthouse in the northwest corner. This fan-favorite spot is often quieter, making it perfect for a safer drop with minimal opponents.

Tear down the lighthouse to score your own private stash of loot, then decide on your next move. You can head south to a nearby stone temple for more loot or go east to explore other neighborhoods.
With decent gear and materials to start, this spot is great for players who like a bit of breathing room before diving into the action.
Northeast Compound Houses
Next, we have the Northeast Compound Houses, which I like to call the “edge of the map retreat.”
This cluster of houses is chill and usually uncontested, so you’ll have time to stock up without immediate risk. There are four houses to loot, giving you plenty of chests and some much-needed peace.
Once geared up, you can rotate to the nearby yacht for a potential boss battle or head to Steamy Stacks for a quick exit with the launch stacks. The terrain around here is hilly with natural cover, so if someone does drop in unexpectedly, you can outplay them with ease.
Fishing Beach House
Here’s a personal favorite: the Fishing Beach House. This little gem in the southeast corner is packed with over 20 chests, tons of fishing spots, a boat, and even some vehicles for rotating out.
Start looting from the top floor and work your way down to the basement. If it’s clear, check out the nearby farm or dock for even more loot. Although it’s usually pretty quiet, sharing this tip might make it a little more popular.
Logjam
Sometimes, you mess up a landing – hey, it happens. For those moments, the Logjam Woodworks in the southwest corner is your backup. It’s almost never contested, has tons of metal, and offers solid shield spawns.
Once loaded up, you can hop into a boat and make a beeline for Slurpy Swamp or stick around to gather even more materials. The Mini Junk Factory is all about flexibility: play it safe, loot up, or jump into the action whenever you’re ready.
Lazy Lake
Finally, we’ve got Lazy Lake. This loot paradise is full of buildings, vehicles, and some of the best rotation options around. My favorite spot here is the “modern spa” in the southwest corner – it’s packed with around eight chests, giving you a serious head start.
Lazy Lake is especially great for squads since the buildings nearby have enough loot to keep your whole team equipped. With plenty of materials and easy vehicle access, you’ll be able to max out quickly, rotate smoothly, and jump into nearby fights whenever you’re ready.
