Epic Games have quickly rolled out their first update of Fortnite Chapter 2, patch v11.00.1, and surprisingly there are more details available about its changes than the initial launch of the season.
Fortnite players have been clamoring for initial patch notes following the release of Chapter 2 and with those still yet to be revealed, the game developers have been encouraging fans to explore the map in order to see what’s been changed.
While many are still waiting for those initial patch notes to be revealed, they might be surprised to know that a new patch is out and we know a whole lot more about this one than we do the first already.
The official Fortnite Status account on Twitter was where information on the patch was posted first, laying out the changes that have been made.
“We’ve released patch v11.00.1 on PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Android to address some issues. A download is required,” one tweet states.

In a number of resulting tweets, those who play the game can easily put together their own patch notes based on the comments. All patch details can be found below and Epic have also confirmed that the patch is coming to Xbox One, Switch and iOS platforms soon.
The size of the update will also vary depending on platform. These include: 237 MB on PC, 1.1 GB on Mac, 900 MB on PlayStation 4 and 374 MB on Android.
Fortnite v11.00.1 patch notes
- Issues causing the screen to appear cropped or zoomed in on consoles have been resolved.
- Issues showing incorrect achievements being completed have been addressed. Correct achievements have been tracked.
- Settings and bindings had been reset to default for some players, but those problems have been tackled with this update – meaning those who did not log into Fortnite during this time will be unaffected. Those affected by settings being set to default can now re-configure them manually.
While this update doesn’t include any new content or features, it has implemented some fixes for frustrating problems.
In the future, Epic have confirmed that they are working to resolve problems with sound quality and drops in FPS on PC platform.
