The Choppa is finally back in Fortnite, so if you’re wondering where is the helicopter in Fortnite? Here’s how to find the classic vehicle on the Chapter 2 Remix map.
Epic’s Remix update has returned players to Chapter 2 for this year’s throwback season, but also with a few twists across the Battle Royale island, such as Snoop Dogg. However, one of the major additions making a comeback is the Choppa helicopter.
Here’s where you can find Choppas in Fortnite this season.
Where to find Choppa helicopters in Fortnite
There is one hidden location where you can find a Choppa in Fortnite during Chapter 2 Remix.
Despite the developers stating in the patch notes that the classic vehicle would be released later in the season, you can discover this secret Choppa on a helipad at the summit of the snowy mountain in the bottom right corner of the map.
The exact location of the Choppa is highlighted in the island map screenshots above. The first image shows the general area where the Choppa can be found, while the second provides a close-up view of the specific helipad where the vehicle spawns in each match.
With not many players knowing about the Choppa so far, if you land as closest as you can and head straight over to the helipad, you should be able to get and fly the helicopter without any trouble.

How to control a Choppa helicopter in Fortnite
Once you’ve entered a Choppa, you can fly higher by using your ‘shoot’ button (R2 on PS5) and fly lower by using your ‘aim’ button (L2 on PS5). Moving around is as simple as using your normal walking controls.
You can also use your ‘build’ button (Circle on PS5) to get a short boost, and press the reload/interact button (Square on PS5) to exit the Choppa – although we wouldn’t recommend doing this in the air.
The Choppa doesn’t have any built-in weapons, but you can switch seats to use any guns in your inventory. Just remember that there needs to be someone in the driver’s seat at all times, or the Choppa will land.
It’s also important to keep an eye on the Choppa’s fuel levels, which will appear next to it on the screen. Unlike a car, which slows to a halt if it runs out of gas, the Choppa will crash land if you reach zero fuel.
