Hatsune Miku is confirmed to be coming to Fortnite, bringing new cosmetics and songs. Here’s everything you need to know about the collab.
Whether it’s a TV series, video games, or real-life celebrities, Fortnite pretty much has it all in terms of its ever-expanding collabs. Because of this, it’s only natural that fans would constantly request new skins to come to the game.
Among all these requests is Hatsune Miku, a virtual pop star who has been around since 2007. Miku is well-known for her wide range of songs composed by real-life artists—one of her songs was even featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The good news is it won’t be long till this becomes a reality, as Hatsune Miku is set to takeover as the new headliner for Season 7 of Fortnite Festival. If you’re interested in getting her skin, here’s everything you need to know about the collab.
When is Miku coming to Fortnite?
Miku is coming to Fortnite on January 14, 2025. This information was shared by well-known leaker ShiinaBR.
The Vocaloid singer will be featured in the Festival Pass for Season 7. While she’s nowhere to be seen yet in-game, keen-eyed players have already spotted easter eggs relating to Hatsune Miku on the Battle Royale map, adding more to the hype.
Hatsune Miku and NEKO Miku skins
Thanks to a major Fortnite leak, Hatsune Miku’s skins have finally been revealed. Trusted leaker Wensoing posted all the details on January 13 via Twitter/X.
According to them, Miku will receive the two skins shown in the leaked images below, both featuring the cell-shaded style, similar to her Easter eggs players have found in-game.
The first, “Hatsune Miku,” features her signature light blue and grey look and will be available in the Item Shop. The second, “NEKO Miku,” shows her in a purple and grey crop-top hoodie with a hat. This skin will headline the season’s Music Pass, marking her takeover from Snoop Dogg for the Fortnite Festival season.

Extra Miku cosmetics
The Japanese virtual sensation is also set to join Fortnite come her own Miku’s Backpack Back Bling that “syncs with Jam Tracks,” as well as an exclusive Contrail to drop onto the Battle Royale island with. These are both shown in the image below.
A brand-new Battle Stage and Jam Stage to use in Fortnite Festival has also been leaked themed around Miku with Japanese text and various purple and light blue decorations.
Additionally, leaker HYPEX has revealed the potential songs that could be added to the game, which are as follows:
- M@GICAL CURE! LOVE SHOT! ft. SAWTOWNE
- Miku ft. Anamanaguchi
- Daisy 2.0 ft. Ashnikko
Where is Hatsune Miku’s backpack?
You can find Hatsune Miku’s backpack inside the hotel in the Seaport City POI. It’ll just be on the floor, lying next to some suitcases.
On January 7 2025, the official Hatsune Miku X account posted “Miku’s backpack is missing, has anybody seen it?”
When does the Hatsune Miku collab end?
April 8, 2024, is when the Hatsune Miku collaboration will end in Fortnite, according to Wensooing. Since Miku is the headliner for Season 7 of the Fortnite Festival, her collaboration end date aligns with the season’s close.
