Week 10 of Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale got underway on Thursday, January when the Week 10 challenges go live on on PC, PS4, Xbox One and all other platforms. Here’s everything you need to know about this week’s tasks and how to complete them.
Week 10, as always, provides players with a total of seven challenges. Three of these are free-to-play and the remaining four will be exclusive to owners of the Season 7 Battle Pass.
The Week 10 challenges were leaked by data miners ahead of time, giving us a pretty good idea of what the developers have in store for us. The leaks proved to be as accurate as we’ve come to expect and Week 10 challenges are probably the easiest so far this season.
The developers of Fortnite, Epic Games, have been known to switch or edit some challenges by the time they go live in the past, so we were hoping to see some changes to the more mundane challenges once they went live.
However, when the challenges went live at 14:00 GMT (09:00 EST, 06:00 PST), the only change was the order in which they were listed. The official challenges are as follows:
Fortnite Season 7, Week 10 Challenges
Free Pass Challenges
- Place a Mounted Turret or a Damage Trap in different matches (3)
- Search Chests at Lazy Links or Dusty Divot (7)
- Assault Rifle Eliminations (3) (HARD)
Battle Pass Challenges
- Deal Damage with Scoped Weapons to opponents (200)
- Stage 1: Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery east of Wailing Woods
- Stage 2: Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery north of Retail Row
- Stage 3: Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery east of Paradise Palms
- Visit Expedition Outposts in a single match (4)
- Hit an opponent with a Chiller Grenade or Boogie Bomb in different matches (3)
How to complete the Season 7, Week 10 Fortnite challenges
Week 10 Snowfall challenge
The ongoing Snowfall challenge is back for Week 10 of Season 7. This week, you’ll be looking for a hidden Banner rather than a secret Battle Star.
Once you’ve completed all seven of the standard challenges for the week, check out our step-by-step guide on how to find the secret Fortnite Banner for Week 10, Season 7.
Place a Mounted Turret or a Damage Trap in different matches
This is another simple challenge – all you need to do to complete this one is find a Mounted Turret or Damage Trap and place it. Do this in three different matches and your work is complete.
Search Chests at Lazy Links or Dusty Divot
This is another straightforward challenge, you just need to open a total of seven chests in Lazy Links and Dusty Divot. As always, you can open all seven in one location or split them between the two.

If you’re in a hurry, land at one of the locations straight away. You’re almost guaranteed to find one or two chests for free each time.
Assault Rifle Eliminations
This is, once again, a pretty straightforward challenge – simply eliminate a total of players with an Assault Rifle of any rarity. You don’t need to kill all of your opponents in one match, so you can take your time with this one.
The number of eliminations required to complete the challenge is three.
Deal damage with scoped weapons to opponents
You’ll be asked to deal out a total of 200 damage for this challenge – it should be fairly easy to complete considering how many scoped weapons are available in Fortnite Battle Royale.
If you’re struggling, try entering a more laid-back Limited Time Mode where players are less likely to be watching their back.
Stage 1: Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery east of Wailing Woods
The only stage challenge for Week 10 will involve visiting different locations and completing the shooting gallery challenge at each of them. We’re expecting three stages in total and you’ll need to complete them in this order:
- Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery east of Wailing Woods
- Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery north of Retail Row
- Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery east of Paradise Palms
Visit Expedition Outposts in a single match
We’ve seen expedition outpost challenges once or twice before in Season 7 so we’re surprised to see them back yet again. You’ll actually need to visit four different outposts in one match to complete this, so think carefully about your route:
Hit an opponent with a Chiller Grenade or Boogie Bomb in different matches
Yet another damage challenge… We were keeping our fingers crossed that at least one of these was switched out or changed. You already know the drill here:
Simply hit an opponent with a Chiller Grenade or Boogie Bomb in a handful of different matches. You to hit a total of three opponents over he course of as many matches as you want.
