The third and presumably penultimate teaser for Fortnite Season 8 has been unveiled by Epic Games, and it has finally provided some answers as to the overall theme of the upcoming season.
The first teaser was particularly ambiguous, leaving a lot to the imagination, but fans did glean that some sort of pirate theme might be on the way.
Things were cleared up slightly when the second teaser dropped, with a snake clearly visible – although how this ties into the overall theme is unclear. The two teasers also appeared to be from the same image:
On February 26, with only two days to go, Epic Games dropped the third teaser.
Still obscure, it appears a dragon is visible on the left hand side – possibly from the mysterious eggs that were buried under the castle at Polar Peak.

Fortnite’s Tweet doesn’t make explicit mention of a ‘dragon’, instead referring to it as a ‘beast of fire and ash’, with a short poem reading:

The eggs that were buried in the castle at Polar Peak mysteriously disappeared during the second-to-last week of Season 7, and players have been curious as to their purpose since. Surely this latest teaser confirms all the speculation?
One more teaser is expected to drop on February 27, before Season 8 finally begins on February 28.
