Fortnite Season 8 is now into its fourth week, and as usual fans of the popular battle royale game have new challenges to sink their teeth into as they continue to earn stars to rank up their Battle Pass.
Epic Games officially released the v.811 update for Fortnite on Wednesday, March 20, which introduced the brand new Flint-Knock Pistol weapon, alongside the popular return of the Impulse Grenade from the vault.
Now, Fortnite fans also have seven new Fortnite challenges to complete, with anyone who finishes all of them unlocking a brand new loading screen, which can be used to find the secret Hidden Banner for the Season 8 Discovery challenges.
Fortnite’s weekly challenges are split into two parts: three free challenges that are open and available to anyone who owns the game, with four more exclusive challenges for players who own the Season 8 Battle Pass.
While the official challenges are now officially live, we already had an idea as to what we could expect thanks to data miners, who scoured through the game’s files to leak the challenges before their official launch.
While Epic Games can sometimes change these challenges before they go live, it appears that the developers stuck to what they had plans, with only a couple of changes when they finally released.

Week 4 Discovery Challenge
Fortnite’s Discovery Challenges will run throughout Season 8, and a new week of challenges means that players can finally get their hands on the Hidden Banner that has been placed somewhere on the map by Epic Games.
Once players have completed all seven of this week’s challenges, they will unlock a special loading screen, which features a clue as to where players can find the banner. Search for two Buried Treasures [5]
Fortnite fans will have to find the Treasure Map items to complete this challenge, as they are required to find two Buried Treasure chests. This challenge may prove to be tricky, as a number of opponents may also be hunting for the same thing.
Launch yourself through 25 structures with a Pirate Cannon [5]
Players will need to find a Pirate Outpost, or head to Lazy Lagoon and get their hands on one of the many Pirate Cannons that litter the Fortnite map. Once you find one, you’ll need to shoot yourself out of it and crash through structures, although they don’t have to be enemy built, so you can take down existing buildings if you find a quiet area.
Get an elimination with a Scoped weapon and a Suppressed weapon [10]
Fairly self-explanatory, players will need to eliminate opponents using a weapon with a scope, such as a Sniper Rifle or a Scoped Assault Rifle, and also find one kill using a suppressed weapon like the Silenced SMG.
Thankfully, this challenge doesn’t have to be completed in the same match, so don’t worry if you can’t find one of each weapon when you drop in.
Stage 1: Land at Tilted Towers [1]
This week’s staged challenge will require players to land at various named locations around the map. This challenge must be completed in the correct order to finish it, with each stage unlocking after you have completed the previous one.
- Stage 1/5: Land at Tilted Towers – 1 Battle Star
- Stage 2/5: Land at Junk Junction – 1 Battle Star
- Stage 3/5: Land at Retail Row – 1 Battle Star
- Stage 4/5: Land at Happy Hamlet – 1 Battle Star
- Stage 5/5: Land at Pleasant Park – 1 Battle Star
Eliminate 10 opponents at Happy Hamlet or Pleasant Park [10]
Another straightforward challenge, players will need to head to either Happy Hamlet or Pleasant Park and take down 10 enemies. You don’t have to land in those areas to perform this challenge, so players can tool up elsewhere and then rotate over, although you’re likely to find fewer opponents.
Outlast 60 opponents in a single match [3]
Players will need to survive in a Fortnite match longer than 60 of their opponents to earn these Battle Stars. The game mode it is completed in doesn’t matter for this challenge, although it might be easier to do it in Solos as players won’t have teammates to revive them.
Use The Baller in five different matches [5]
Finally, players will need to hop into The Baller, and use it in five different matches to complete the final challenge. While this sounds easy, a recent nerf to the spawn rate of the vehicle might make it slightly more difficult, as there are now 50% less Ballers on the map than there were previously.
The Fortnite Season 8 Week 4 challenges are now live on Thursday, March 21, and we’ll be sure to update this post with any new information as it becomes available.
