While calling out Fortnite’s sniper problem, one user shared a sniping montage that other players are mocking online.
The prominent use of sniper rifles has been a point of contention in the Fortnite community for years. In 2021, for example, the #RemoveSnipersFromComp hashtag gained quite a bit of traction on Twitter. The sniper discourse returned with Chapter 5, as well.
Some argue that those who use snipers have a penchant for camping out in hard-to-spot areas, rendering everyone else easy prey. Others contend that the guns themselves simply deal too much damage.
Either way, the weapon is here to stay, though the odd complaint does rear its head every once in a while. The latest of such complaints isn’t having the intended effect, however.
Fortnite player’s sniping montage reveals a ‘skill issue,’ fans say
“Snipers make Fortnite unplayable,” reads a post from a Reddit user who claims they’ve been sniped more times this season than ever before.
To illustrate their point, the Redditor uploaded a 24-second gameplay montage that shows their many deaths to a distant sniper.
All in all, the video features the Fortnite player being taken out a total of nine times. However, their demonstration hasn’t received the feedback they probably anticipated.

The most popular comment in the thread jokes, “Even Batman couldn’t get me to release a montage of me getting headshot sniped.” Someone else replied saying the CIA wouldn’t get them to budge, either.
Another response reads, “Bro, I play a lot and do not nearly get headshot sniped as much as you do.”
Others tried understanding the original poster’s strategy, with one person asking, “Do you guys actually not move when seeing a sniper scope? My kneejerk reaction is to instantly jump up and the side when I first notice the glare.”
Meanwhile, several people said that while Epic should work on Fortnite’s sniper problem, the gameplay on display in the video above is “literally just a skill issue.” Another person echoed this sentiment, saying the real problem is that the player seems “too predictable.”
Unfortunately for this Fortnite player and countless others, it remains to be seen if Epic will address the latest sniper rifle complaints in future updates.
