When does the Summer Escape event begin in Fortnite?
The Summer Escape event went live in-game on July 4, 2023 at 9 AM ET globally. The files for the same were decrypted and were simply added to the game without any major content update as such.
Similar to the previous iterations of the event like the 2022 Summer Splash event in Chapter 3, there are certain content changes that have been made to the game including new items, consumables as well as summer-themed décor spread across the map.
The event has been announced to conclude on July 18, 2023, when the next big content update of Chapter 4 Season 3 hits the game.
All Summer Escape Event Quests
The Summer Escape event has brought several themed quests that requires players to accomplish a set of tasks related to the content added to the game. These quests are divided into three phases that will each be available for a limited time to players and will release gradually.
Each wave of these quests will release until July 16, 2023 and will expire in a specific time designated to them.
The Quench Quests

How to get free Summer Escape rewards in Fortnite
Players will need to complete special summer-themed quests in order to claim some free rewards that have arrived with Summer Escape. The rewards consists of special cosmetic items as well as generous amounts of XP that can help players level up faster across their Battle Pass.
