Twitch Rivals and Epic Games have teamed up for Week Six of the Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ competitive series.
The scheduling for this week’s tournament will be different than previous weeks; North American and European players will play their matches across both August 17 and 18, with each region playing five matches per day.
The Fortnite Summer Skirmish is an 8-week series of competitions where Epic Games will be awarding a total of $8 million in prize money.
The competitions feature a variety of content creators, popular pro players, and top performers from previous in-game events.
The Week 6 action began on August 17 with five games for the EU region and five games for the North American region. For the recap on what happened on August 17, check out our Week 6 Day 1 recap.
The same schedule will also be in place for August 18, as and both regions playing another five games each to finish off their respective tournaments. Day two begins at 12:00 PM EDT.
Summer Skirmish Week 6 Format – Kingpin
Although the start times are different for this week of the Summer Skirmish, Epic liked Week 5’s format enough to bring it back.
The Week 6 format will once again be Kingpin.

The team with the most points at the end of eight matches wins. Eliminations earn players points towards placement at the end of the event. Earning a Victory Royale will provide a team with a 3x Elimination bonus in the next match.Elimination: +1 PointVictory Royale: 3x Elimination Bonus Next Match7+ Eliminations: 2x Elimination Bonus Next Match
* These multipliers do not stack and only last for the next game. For example, an 8 elimination game with a Victory Royale would only grant a x3 multiplier to points for next game, not a x5 multiplier for next game.
The one major difference between this week’s format and last week’s is the prize breakdown. In Week 5, the prizes were awarded to players after the completion of the tournament, whereas Week 6’s prizes are awarded after each of the five matches.
Here are how the prizes will be broken down on a per match basis:
