the in-game Ice Sphere live event on January 19.
Just what the event would bring to the game was the cause of mass speculation among Fortnite fans and players, but it was eventually revealed that the Ice King, a character teased at the beginning of Season 7, was hiding inside the ball.
Tfue sees the positive side of the reskinned Zombies.
The character sent the wintery weather flying across the map and brought with him some friends – the Ice Zombies.
FaZe Clan player Cizzorz tweeted: “I’m not even mad at Fortnite anymore I’m just disappointed. Every single BR update brings something that makes the game so unenjoyable. There’s a reason I’ve been playing so much creative mode because it’s actually F U N. BR, not fun. Planes. Boomboxes. Zombies.”
His FaZe teammate Tfue was less critical, simply Tweeting “Zombies = Shield,” referring to the fact that after killing a number of Zombies, a shield potion will drop, bringing more shields back to the game, a welcome change.
Zombies = Shield :ok_hand::skin-tone-3:

Team Liquid’s Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright posted: “Zombies reduce RNG within this game. Only one game watched so far, so not 100% sure, but it seems like they balanced their spawn rate appropriately. This is good for the game. Opinionated, obviously.”
Fortnite content creator Dixon chimed in with: “Zombies don’t seem as bad tbh. But at least it’s only 9 days, so don’t be too upset.”

The LTM, which is works in Solo, Duos, and Squads playlists is expected to run for ten days until January 29.
It’s not the first time that Epic Games have come under fire for adding fundamentally game changing content to regular playlists, after a community backlash forced them to remove the controversial Infinity Blade.
