Fortnite update 21.20 downtime details
Downtime for Fortnite update 21.20 began on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST, with matchmaking disabled 30 minutes prior to this.
You’ll be glad to hear that downtime is now over, so you can jump back into the game as soon as you want.

Indiana Jones skin arrives in Fortnite
This season’s not-so-secret Fortnite skin is the iconic character, Indiana Jones. It’s been locked so far, but the countdown has now ended, so you can unlock him right now!
Just like previous secret skins, you’ll need to complete a set of themed Indiana Jones Quests to get him. We’ve got a guide to all those quests right here, as well as details of all the cosmetics you can get.
A new POI called Shuffled Shrines emerges
A teaser posted by the Fortnite Competitive Twitter account confirmed that there will be some big changes to the map following the 21.20 update, and now it looks like we’ve got a brand new temple POI.
To coincide with the Indiana Jones skin, Shuffled Shrines has appeared just south of Sanctuary, and there are some mysteries to explore, including a secret door…

Try a new weapon: the Charge SMG!
A brand new weapon has been added to the loot pool with the Fortnite 21.20 update. With the Charge SMG, you can hold down the trigger to charge up before unleashing a spray of bullets.
All good things must come to an end, though, as the Combat SMG has now been vaulted to make way for this new weapon.
More weekly challenges and Vibin’ Quests will go live
If you’re struggling to earn enough XP to unlock that elusive Darth Vader skin, you’ll be glad to know that more weekly challenges and Vibin’ Quests will be added to the game with this update.

Fortnite update 21.20 bug fixes
Epic Games will ship a number of bug fixes with the Fortnite 21.20 update, which you can see below:
- Sapling Icon can be misplaced on the Map/Minimap.
- Server Replays are not accessible.
- Tracker Device not updating correctly for teams in Creative Mode.
