Fortnite update 22.10 patch notes
This season’s Super Styles are nearly here
If you’ve already unlocked your favorite skins in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass, you’ll be glad to know that this season’s Super Styles are being added to the game with the 22.10 update.
There are Celestial, Spectral, and Aurelian Styles to unlock for Bytes, Lennox Rose, Paradigm, Meow Skulls, and Spider-Gwen. They go live on October 6 but you can see how they look in-game now.
Bytes’ Dark Bargains Quests have been unlocked
Anyone who’s unlocked Bytes’ Pickaxe, The Nothing’s Gift, has probably noticed that there’s a series of Bytes Quests to complete in order to unlock extra styles for the cosmetic.
While these quests have been hidden so far, they’re now available for Battle Pass owners to work through. Just remember you’ll need to wear the Bytes skin to complete them.
A new weapon arrives: The Cobra DMR!
The DMR has been vaulted with the 22.10 update, but in its place is the brand new Cobra DMR. It fires faster and has a higher clip size than the regular DMR, although there’s slightly more recoil to manage.

You can find Cobra DMRs on the ground, in Chests, in Supply Drops, by fishing, by defeating Loot Sharks, and by harvesting Reality Sapling Fruit.
Use keys to unlock Holo-Chests
The current season of Fortnite introduced players to locked Vaults that require keys to open them, but the 22.10 update has now added another way to use those keys: Holo-Chests!
Holo-Chests can be found around the map and they display what’s inside so you know whether it’s worth using your keys. Find a two-key Holo-Chest and it’s guaranteed to have an Exotic weapon inside.
Grapple Gloves have returned
Grapple Gloves were vaulted at the start of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, but they’re making a temporary comeback following the 22.10 update.
You can find Grapple Gloves on the ground, in Chests, in Supply Drops, or in Legendary and Mythic Reality Sapling Fruit. They won’t stick around for long, though, so enjoy them while you can!
The Boogie Bomb is getting vaulted
You might have been surprised to see the Boogie Bomb remain after the new season launched, but it’s not sticking around for long as Epic Games have confirmed it’s being vaulted with the 22.10 update.
Sweat-Free Wrap freebie
In response to “issues” during the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 launch, Epic Games are gifting players with a Sweat-Free Wrap for free. You should get it when you log into the game after updating.
