The first weekend of Fortnite World Cup qualifiers is finally upon us after weeks of anticipation – here’s how to watch your favourite pro players such as Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney or Ali ‘Myth‘ Kabbani using the recently introduced in-game spectator client.
What is the Fortnite World Cup?
The Fortnite World Cup is set to be the biggest esport tournament in history (in terms of prize money) with Epic Games putting up a prize pool of $30 million. The grand final, which takes place in New York on July 26-28, will pit the best players from around the globe against each other for their share of the enormous cash prize.
Everyone has the chance to participate in the event, as qualification is granted through weekly online tournaments, with Epic also putting up $1 million in prizes for the ten weeks of qualifiers.
How to watch Tfue, Myth and more using the new spectator client
Given the importance of the qualifiers, many of the most popular streamers choose not to broadcast their gameplay so all of their focus can be on playing their best.
Epic Games may have provided the solution, offering anyone who owns Fortnite the chance to watch their favourite player’s perspective using a brand new in-game spectator client.

How to use Fortnite spectator client
The spectator client can be accessed from the ‘Compete’ tab on the Fortnite Battle Royale home screen.
From there, you can navigate to the top players in your region and look for the live icon next to their name, you will then be loaded into their game similar to replay mode.
In the client, you can view the loadout of the player as well as whether there are any enemies nearby from a variety of angles.
While the move seems like a fantastic addition to the game, pro players will hope that its inclusion doesn’t lead to more server issues which has plagued the title in the past.
