Fortnite players who purchased the Marshmello skin were handed compensation from Epic Games in the latest update, after the skin was temporarily disabled.
Owners of the popular skin were handed a free loading screen upon the release of the latest Fortnite patch as compensation following issues that caused the cosmetic item to be disabled last week.
The Marshmello in-game concert was one of the highlights of Season 7 with over 10.7 million users tuning in to watch the performance at Pleasant Park.
Fortnite released a skin of the DJ to coincide with the event which was available in the item shop for 1,500 v-Bucks as well as the Marshy Smasher pickaxe which was unlocked via a set of challenges.
However, users on mobile were unable to equip the outfit in the past week due to cosmetic issues that have not been disclosed.

As an apology, Epic Games handed all owners of the skin a free Marshmello loading screen in the latest game patch.
Even if you were unaffected by the issues on mobile, you will receive the loading screen provided you bought the skin when it was in the item shop rotation.
Simply log on to the game and you will be prompted with a screen to collect your free gift.
Given the popularity of rare items amongst Fortnite players, this reward should be well received by the community.
