Season 6 of Fortnite has brought with it a number of huge changes like weapon crafting and wild animals. Exotic weapons like The Dub are still here, but they’ve moved around.
Exotic weapons aren’t quite on the same level as Mythics, but will regularly outclass your Epic or Legendary weapons, so they’re well worth having a look at and trying out, and The Dub shotgun might be the most exciting.
As a double-barreled shotgun, The Dub can really pack a punch and should give you the advantage in most close-range gunfights. Here’s all the information you need on which NPC sells it, and how many Gold Bars you’ll need to save up.
The Dub location in Fortnite
Similar to the other exotic weapons in Season 6, picking up The Dub isn’t as simple as finding it in a chest or as floor loot: you have to visit a specific NPC to buy it, and you’ll need to come armed with Gold Bars.
The NPC you need to find is Burnout. He’s located just southwest of Steamy Stacks, as marked on the map above. You’ll know you’re in the right location as there will be a car and racing decorations on the road.

- Land just southwest of Steamy Stacks.
- Head to the road with the racecourse decorations.
- Locate Burnout (he will have a speech bubble above his head).
- Speak to him and select The Dub.
- Confirm your selection to purchase the exotic weapon.
And there you have it! The Dub shotgun isn’t hard to get, but you’ll want to make sure you take enough Gold Bars with you to complete the transaction.
How much does The Dub cost in Fortnite?
As with all of the other Fortnite exotic weapons, including the Shadow Tracker and the Chug Cannon, you won’t get The Dub for free. You’ll have to make sure you’ve got enough Gold Bars in your inventory.
The Dub will set you back a total of 600 Gold Bars, making it one of the most expensive exotic weapons right now. If you’re running low, we’ve got a handy guide to making more money in Fortnite.
It might take a few games to find this much Gold, so keep hunting and find the right time to pick up the new exotic shotgun — it could be the difference between a win and a loss in Fortnite Season 6.
