YouTuber Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem has announced that major scheduling changes are coming to his prized weekly Battle Royale tournaments.
Starting on July 29, the popular Friday Fortnite celebrity competition, which features a $20K prize pool, will be moved to Sundays and become ‘Sunday Fortnite,’ and the $100k Realm Royale tournament will be moved to Thursdays, effective July 19.
KEEMSTAR announced these date changes on July 12 via a post on his Twitter page. Until then, Friday Fortnite will continue to be played on the 13th and 20th of July, as regularly planned.

As Keem alluded to in the tweet above, these scheduling changes are being made in reaction to Epic Games’ recently announced ‘Summer Skirmish’ Fortnite tournaments, which will be taking place every weekend over the next 8 weeks.
Although he isn’t too happy about it, the YouTuber understands that there is nothing he can do when it comes to the schedule that Epic has chosen for its competitions.
Not much we can do , @EpicGames is running overlapping events on Friday this summer

It will be worth keeping an eye on how these scheduling changes will affect Friday Fortnite, which has reached unprecedented success in terms of both viewership and participation.
At least for the Realm Royale tournament, these changes should not have much effect since it has not yet been played due to multiple delays.
