Fortnite pro Nate Hill was eliminated from a match due to a bug involving his glider during the Grand Finals of the $2.6 million Fortnite Fall Skirmish.
The bug was caught live on the official Fortnite stream, leading to an awkward moment for the casters.
Nate Hill and his partner Funkbomb jumped off of a ramp build to redeploy their gliders. The moment started off in Funkbomb’s POV, from which you can see Nate Hill standing on a bridge.
But when the camera cuts to Nate Hill’s POV, you can see he is not on the bridge at all but actually gliding towards the ground.
The glitch appeared to show Nate Hill that he was still gliding, but to the rest of the game world he was actually falling without a glider.

His name popped into the kill feed as being eliminated from fall damage, and it looked like his character went into a fall death animation long before he actually hit the ground.
Nate jumped up from his chair in frustration while he was still visible on stream and appeared to yell an expletive or two.
CouRage was casting the match and calmly transitioned away from the potentially game breaking bug by saying, “seemed like [Nate Hill’s] glider was malfunctioning a little bit, so we’ll wait from League Ops on that one.”
League Ops would not respond or comment for the rest of the tournament, but fortunately for Nate Hill and Funkbomb, the glitch may not have had a negative impact on their result. Funkbomb went on to finish second by himself in the match to still earn the team points.
They also finished in second place overall, five points back of the winners Tfue and Cloakzy.
