Remember that new streamer mode that was supposed to help prevent stream snipers in Fortnite? Well, it doesn’t seem very effective…
Nick Eh 30 had the mode – which implements a 35-second hidden matchmaking delay – when he landed at Loot Lake.
Just after landing, a seemingly endless stream of players came flying and bouncing towards him before emoting when they reach his location.

By my count, he kills or knocks down seven players in just 15 seconds with a decent amount of people still bouncing around him. Luckily they weren’t malicious stream snipers and Nick Eh 30 didn’t even get shot once.
It was target practice for the streamer, and he doesn’t disappoint, hitting headshot after headshot to inflate his kill count. Still, it seems clear that the goal of preventing stream snipers has not worked as intended.
It is possible that this feature does help lessen stream sniping, but because it has just been implemented on September 18th, people are going out of their way to coordinate attacks and prove the delay can still be circumvented.
