Fortnite players have been complaining about the B.R.U.T.E. mechs since the beginning of Season X, but former CS:GO pro turned Twitch star Jaryd ‘summit1g‘ Lazar has a simple suggestion for them.
The competitive Fortnite scene has been in a state of disarray for the majority of Season 10 thanks to the mechs.
These mechs give pretty much anyone a chance to win a game, a fact that doesn’t sit well with pro players since relative newbies could wipe out a pro without much of a challenge.
Epic Games explains how the mechs were added in for players to essentially level the playing field, but players did not agree with that sentiment.
Summit, on the other hand, thinks the players should just stop their complaining altogether and instead focus on what sets Fortnite apart from other battle royales – building.
“I see all these Fortnite players complaining about mechs,” he tweeted on August 16. “lol just build.”
Telling players to “just build” has become a meme in the community when players complain about certain mechanics. Players have said it time and time again to players who couldn’t adapt to the meta, such as when Ballers and planes reigned supreme.

It’s a comical way to avoid the major problems in the game by just downplaying and making light of it.

Epic Games believes the mech has a place in Fortnite while the majority of the pro community flat out disagree with that.
Summit, who doesn’t play Fortnite, seems like he enjoys watching the community turn on the game they love by tearing it down. Some people really do like to watch the world burn.
If this criticism keeps up, and it looks like it will, it’s hard to imagine Epic Games standing their ground on the mech.
Once enough of the pros stop playing, Epic will be left with little choice but to abandon the mech experiment.
