Streaming star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has called upon Epic Games to remove the “dumbest” weapon from Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, as well as vaulting Mythic items in competitive play.
Ever since Fortnite’s battle royale mode launched back in 2017, Epic Games have added some weapons and items that have either split the fanbase down the middle or united them in the hopes of a vaulting taking place.
Who can forget the Zapotron, the Quad Launcher, Drum Gun, or the highly controversial Infinity Blade? Though, as Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has gone on, players like Tfue would like to see a few other weapons and items join that long list and head to the vault in favor of another change to the loot pool.
During his April 9 stream, the Fortnite standout had been playing some solo Arena matches to conclude his stream when, late into one of his final matches, his health was drained by a Grappler shot. The opposing player quickly finished Tfue off with a shot from Skye’s Assualt Rifle, leaving the Twitch star furious.
“The Grappler is so cringy bro, it’s literally the cringest gun in the entire existence – I don’t give a f**k what anybody says,” Tfue said. “That sh*t should not be in competitive or Arena, absolutely just the dumbest f**king thing of all time.”

Tenney wasn’t finished there, continuing to call for a change to the current loot pool – especially for when it comes to competitive play.
“They need to vault all the Mythic items in competitive, period. Or, just not have competitive playlists at all,” Tfue concluded before also noting that the Grappler is a weapon you just don’t want to come up against in the late game.
Now, of course, any changes to Fortnite come solely from Epic Games, but the developers have shown that they will listen to community feedback in the past.
However, for any change to happen, there would have to be more than just Tfue making his voice heard.
