Fortnite Battle Royale right now but he has revealed he’s been down in the dumps about playing the game lately.
Many streamers on Twitch make a living playing Fortnite Battle Royale but that doesn’t mean they all enjoy it, something we’ve been seeing a lot of lately with the constant criticisms of the direction the game is taking.
Tfue hasn’t been quite as negative as other streamers have been but he revealed why he doesn’t want to keep playing.
The map changes have Tfue feeling depressed
It’s worth mentioning that the recent weapon changes, like the Pump Shotgun being vaulted, don’t have him sad but it’s the map changes instead.
“I’m so bummed right now,” he said. “I don’t like being super negative about the game, honestly, I am super fucking depressed about this map. I don’t care about the Pump, I don’t care about anything. I had three solo potential spots I was going to land at and all three were ruined. This is literally the worst fucking season of all time for me.”
He blasts the new Tilted Towers and the lack of changes to map, writing them off as just adding Tokyo to Tilted and the new Mega Mall.

Previous seasons added in new map areas like the desert and snow biomes, but didn’t do anything with this one. With the exception of Tilted Towers and Retail Row getting reworked, there weren’t many map related changes.
This is something Tfue has a gripe with since previous seasons offered new dropping locations but that just wasn’t the case this time.
What else changed with Season 9?
Outside of the map complaints, the other major change came with the Pump Shotgun, something around since the beginning days of Fortnite Battle Royale, being vaulted, much to the chagrin of the pro community.
Over the past weekend, we saw what the future of competitive Fortnite could look like without the Pump Shotgun to rely on in late game situations and it definitely didn’t look good for players who relied on it, including Ninja.
Honestly…. I just played some of the worst Fortnite of my life. Felt completely out of my element and w/o the pump I froze in about 5 fights late game when my combat shotgun would not shoot out of shadow mode. Did not qualify for Sunday 🙁

With the lack of map changes and the controversial removal of the Pump Shotgun, it looks like players are in for another long season.
