Twitch star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why he believes the removal of traps from Fortnite was the “worst thing” to ever happen in the history of the battle royale.
Traps had been a part of Fortnite’s battle royale mode since its inception – giving players a way to embarrass their enemies while they were contesting a build battle.
After calls from plenty of players for changes, the damage traps were vaulted with the launch of Chapter 2, Season 2, to the delight of many players. Though, Tfue isn’t a fan of the move and believes it to be the “worst thing” that has ever happened to Fortnite.
During his March 19 stream, the streaming superstar had been taking part in the platform Cash Cup when he found himself heading back to the pre-game lobby after losing a box fight. With his frustrations growing, Tfue let loose.
He called out: “Bro, the worst thing that Fortnite has ever done, ever bro, I’m talking about literally f**king planes, whatever the f**k there could be – the worst thing they’ve ever done to the game is removing traps.”
The streamer was finished there though, as he explained what Epic Games could have done instead of outright removing them. I don’t give a f**k if they nerf them down to 100 damage, it was the worst decision they’ve ever f**king done ever,” he added. “Personally, that’s what I feel, because f**king braindead motherf**kers kill me so god damn often now. It is ridiculous.”

After taking a few moments away from his stream, the Fortnite pro returned to see some viewers disagreeing with him, claiming that the removal of the traps was a good thing.
“Traps were terrible for the game? Why? They literally prevented dumb ass kids from jumping in your box,” Tfue responded. “It’s literally the meta nowadays, braindead people jump in boxes. It’s like the f**king meta or something. God, this game has gotten so f**king cringe, holy f**k. Oh, this game used to be much fun.”
Of course, some fans disagreed with Tfue endlessly and put forward items like the dreaded BRUTE Mechs and Infinity Sword as the worst additions.
Though, those viewers probably won’t get him to change his point of view anytime soon, regardless of how hard they try.
