Next Fortnite update
The next Fortnite update, v33.20, is scheduled for January 14, 2025, at 2 PM ET.
Epic has not yet confirmed anything official resolving around the next content update for the season, but it is expected to be a big one. According to trusted leakers, it will center around a face off between Godzilla and Kong, which is likely to be an in-game event within Battle Royale matches.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is structured into five updates, each featuring the arrival of new content and events, including the highly-anticipated permanent Fortnite OG mode and Winterfest 2024. The season will then end with the Chapter 6 Season 2 update taking over.

When does Chapter 6 Season 1 end? Season 2 start date
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will end on February 21, 2025, at 2 AM ET. This means that this season will last the typical duration of three months.
Following the usual server downtime for maintenance, Season 2 will then be released straight after. Epic Games has kept details about the next season under wraps so far as it focuses on the Japanese-themed Hunters season.
