Fortnite’s Loot Island has received a heavy metal makeover with Metallica’s arrival. Here’s everything you need to know and how you can find the Metallica Loot Island during your matches.
Fortnite’s 30.10 update introduced plenty of content across its various modes, with the star of the show being the Metallica crossover. Players can get their hands on each band member’s Metallica and Puppet Master skins, as well as grind through special quests to earn Metallica-themed rewards.
However, the Battle Royale also received some features, such as the Ride the Lighting Mythic guitar and the Metallica Loot Island. Speaking of the latter, heading there will treat fans to a special POI, with loot and a show from the band itself.
How to find the Metallica Loot Island POI location
Inspired by the M72 World Tour, Metallica Loot Island functions identically as the regular Loot Island since it’ll randomly spawn during the middle of the match. Therefore, it’s hard to say where it’s guaranteed to spawn, but when it arrives, the Island’s logo will appear on your screen.

With Metallica’s heavy metal version, players can experience music and a show from the band. Head to the center of the stage, and it’ll initiate an objective to capture the Island. Provided you’re successful, you’ll receive a ton of loot and a Ride the Lightning guitar.
Of course, the Island has plenty of hidden secrets. As seen in the above video, there’s an underground segment players can explore. If you head over to the wall that says “Cliff ‘Em All,” you’ll complete a secret quest that will dish out 10,000 XP.
